The Central African Republic (CAR) is a landlocked country located in the heart of Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the southeast, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the south, and the Republic of the Congo to the southwest.

With a population of over 4.7 million people, the Central African Republic is ethnically diverse, with over 80 different ethnic groups. The official languages are French and Sango, though many local languages are also spoken throughout the country.

The Central African Republic is known for its vast and varied landscapes, including savannas, dense forests, and the Mbomou River. The country's territory covers an area of over 240,000 square miles, making it the largest landlocked country in Central Africa.
